> Marivic is an experienced political operative, a skilled advocate and an effective communicator.
Marivic joins the Barbary Coast team after two years of solid campaign experience working for local, state and federal candidates throughout the country. She was accepted to a political program for Emily's List Campaign Corps, and was assigned to a hotly contested state senate race in Des Moines, Iowa as a field staffer. In her first month on the campaign trail she recruited over 100 volunteer canvassers, and helped raise an unprecedented amount of funds for her candidate. She quickly moved up the ranks, accepting a finance assistant position with a federal race in Philadelphia, and then taking a campaign manager position in the Bay Area.
Marivic's political career began when she was elected as Vice President of External Affairs at San Diego State University. She led the legislative arm of SDSU's student government, advocating for the advancement of student interests during the proposed California State University student fee hikes. In partnership with her team, Marivic lobbied legislators throughout the state to keep student fees affordable and education accessible. In the summer of her senior year she was accepted to an internship program with the Organization of Chinese Americans, and was assigned to intern for Congresswoman Susan Davis in Washington, D.C.
Marivic was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. In her spare time she likes to travel the globe, cook vegetarian dishes and spend quality time with her family and friends.

Living in Kean Svay district, Cambodia, Tes and his wife, Chhet have been farming for 15 years. The couple hopes to keep their farm as the government may take over some of their land for development projects. Also from Cambodia, Ousmak has been raising ducks for 15 years with her husband in the Muk Kampoul district. The couple would like to purchase baby ducks to continue their business and provide for their children.
