> Libby is a seasoned political operative with an extraordinary academic background.
Libby received her Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a focus on political advocacy and leadership. While studying for her degree, Libby also shaped young minds as a Teaching Fellow in the Government Department at Harvard College, worked with the Center for Public Leadership, and interned with the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators, where she helped improve their communications strategy and organizational effectiveness both inside and out of the State House.
Libby’s other professional endeavors include surviving seven months in the wilderness of Northeast Iowa on the Hillary Clinton campaign, where she proved to be excellent at performing community outreach, creating political strategy and driving a tractor. She has also worked with non-profits, local government and media organizations, and brings to Barbary Coast a deep understanding of political processes, communications strategy and organization building.
Libby received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Yale University, where she served as Student Body President and led several community service projects to foster a positive relationship between Yale and the City of New Haven. When not at work, she is an avid runner, loves the New York Times Crossword Puzzle (and can occasionally finish it!), and enjoys long dinners with friends, especially when she’s cooking.

Through kiva.org, all Barbary Coast employees make interest-free microloans to people in need around the world. Libby’s Kiva partner is the Siempre Alegres Group. Based in the Caranavi locality in Bolivia, this group of women sells fruit and natural juices in the city’s markets. They have been working with the Pro-Mujer (Pro-Woman) organization for the last seven years, and plan to use the money to purchase more fruit to increase their sales. |
