Dave joins Barbary Coast Consulting after 20 years of experience working in government at the local, state and national levels.  He has worked on national political campaigns, for both Houses of Congress and for the U.S. Department of State.  For the last 12 years, Dave has lived in and worked for San Francisco: during work hours as an Investigator for the City Attorney's Office and off duty as a City Commissioner and non-profit Board Member and volunteer.
 
A graduate of the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas,  Dave is able to maintain a sense of the big picture without losing sight of the critical details.  With a background that also includes journalism and international consulting, he is an accomplished policy analyst and strategic thinker.  Tightly focused on delivering results, he is dedicated to leaving his adopted home of San Francisco better than how he found it.
 
Found most weekends stalking the produce at the Farmer's Market, Jensen is an accomplished cook, intrepid traveler and avid political junkie.

Through kiva.org, all Barbary Coast employees make interest-free microloans to people in need around the world.  Dave’s Kiva partners are Masika Said and Latif Bobiev.  Running her small business in Zanzabar, Tanzania, Masika and her business partners are looking to purchase additional supplies to expand their business and profits. A father of four, Latif lives in Vazrob, Tajikistan where he farms wheat and potatoes.  Latif hopes to use the money to buy high quality seeds to increase his harvest yields for his family and community.
