1095 Market Street

Barbary Coast Consulting was hired to perform community outreach and government affairs services for 1095 Market Street, a former office building that the developers hoped to convert into an upscale youth hostel targeting international travelers.  Working with community organizations, local business owners, and residents of San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood, Barbary Coast built a diverse coalition of supporters who were eager to see this historic building restored and the neighborhood revitalized.  Barbary Coast also advocated for the project at City Hall and with the Planning Commission, resulting in the unanimous approval of the Planning Commission to move forward with the project, currently slated for completion in 2013.
