A community outreach specialist dedicated to surpassing expectations...

That's Jesse Feldman, Our Senior Project Manager

Energetic, devoted, and always ready to roll up his sleeves and dive in, Jesse’s eagerness for success reverberates throughout our team. In 2008, during his second year in college, Jesse joined Barbary Coast as an intern. He’s been with us ever since. His drive to efficiently deliver solutions to any problem thrown his way has been his trademark and has helped him develop into an integral part of our team.

Jesse has spent years organizing and messaging for an expansive number of clients – from walking the streets to designing effective outreach strategies. His rare, bottom-up knowledge has provided him the ability to deliver unique and innovative solutions for large retailers, schools, nonprofits, and small businesses. While the type of clients Jesse has assisted at Barbary Coast has been varied, the communities he has engaged have been even more diverse. He has formed spirited, broad-based coalitions that represent a myriad of powerful niche groups and community organizations. Jesse’s knack for activating individuals, groups, and businesses has contributed to continued success for a large number of Barbary Coast’s clients.

Jesse has a Bachelor’s Degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley. In his free time, he assists students in learning how to write resumes and cover letters, and has previously worked to create pamphlets simplifying the language behind ballot propositions.

Through kiva.org, all Barbary Coast employees make interest-free microloans to people in need around the world. Jesse’s Kiva partners are Le and Andrea. Le operates a noodle cart in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and hopes to increase her customer base by purchasing new furniture and higher quality food products. Andrea is a mother of two in Pucallpa, Peru and sells popular, local dishes to a loyal customer base. She is planning to expand her business to better provide for her family..
